Music streaming site Deezer has been on a tear recently, and now it’s revealed it has signed perhaps its most important deal yet: Soon Deezer will be appearing on LG, Samsung, and Toshiba. I use the Smart TV as the source with both Spotify and Deezer apps installed. The TV connects with the amp via optical cable. The amp is Rotel RA 12 with built-in DAC. For Spotify, I just connect my smartphone via wifi to control music on the TV app like a remote. Deezer does seem to be clunky in its account handling, too. I subscribed to Hi Fi at 19.99 per month. My AVR tells me it's getting a FLAC stream, and it certainly sounds like it. But my account page on Deezer tells me I'm getting Premium+, and offers me HiFi at 14.99 per month! Telling customers they could have had it cheaper is not great for.
